Custom Dentures in Oakville
Custom-designed dentures to help you smile, speak, and enjoy your favourite foods with ease.
Tooth loss is something we all hope to never experience as adults. However, it is an unfortunately common problem. Thankfully, modern dentistry has beautiful solutions. Burloak Centre Dentistry offers a full range of family dental services, including dentures. These are custom designed by our in-house denturist, for a natural appearance and optimal functionality.
Benefits of Dentures
- Restore Smile and Function: Dentures effectively replace missing teeth, allowing you to chew food properly and speak clearly. This restoration improves your ability to enjoy meals and communicate confidently in everyday life.
- Support Facial Structure: By filling in the gaps left by missing teeth, dentures provide vital support to your facial muscles. This helps prevent the sunken or sagging appearance that often accompanies tooth loss, preserving your natural facial shape.
- Natural Look and Comfortable Fit: Our custom-made dentures are designed to match the colour and shape of your natural teeth, creating a natural-looking smile. They are designed for comfort, so you can wear them throughout the day without irritation.
- Easy to Clean and Maintain: Since dentures are removable, cleaning is straightforward and helps maintain good oral hygiene. Regular cleaning of gums and dentures prevents irritation and keeps your mouth healthy.
- Personalized Care: At Burloak Centre Dentistry, we work closely with you to create dentures tailored to your specific needs and preferences. Our goal is to provide you with dentures that fit well, function properly, and enhance your overall quality of life.
Types of Dentures
There are multiple styles of dentures available:
- Partials – A partial denture replaces multiple teeth, but not the full arch. It is removable for eating and oral hygiene. When in place, a partial is secured by other teeth. Some styles are semi-flexible, allowing them to “snap” in place. Others are fitted with clasps, which connect to supporting teeth.
- Full denture – If you have complete tooth loss in either arch, a removable full denture can restore your smile quickly. Our denturist designs a complete set of natural looking false teeth, which are set in a base that looks like gums. It fits snugly and comfortably against your gums and the roof of your mouth.
- Implant-supported dentures – A denture, or virtually any other type of restoration, can be supported by implants. This option provides the strength and stability comparable to natural teeth. Implants also help prevent bone resorption in the jaw.
What to Expect When Getting Dentures
- Impressions and Custom Design: Your dentist will begin by taking detailed impressions of your gums and any remaining teeth. These precise moulds are used to create dentures that fit comfortably and look natural, tailored specifically to your mouth’s unique shape.
- Initial Fitting and Adjustment: During your first fitting, the focus will be on ensuring the dentures feel comfortable and fit securely. Your dentist will check the appearance and make sure your bite is properly aligned to help you chew and speak effectively.
- Adjustment Period: It is common to experience some soreness or minor irritation as your mouth adapts to the new dentures. You might also find speaking and eating challenging at first. This adjustment phase is normal and usually improves as you get used to wearing your dentures daily.
- Follow-Up Visits: Follow-up appointments are essential to fine-tune the fit of your dentures. Your dentist will make any necessary adjustments to relieve pressure points and ensure maximum comfort and functionality.
- Long-Term Care: With time, patience, and proper care, your dentures will restore your ability to eat, speak, and smile confidently. Regular maintenance and dental visits will keep your dentures and oral health in great shape for years to come.
How Does the Denture Process Work in Oakville?
- Initial Consultation and Examination: Your dentist will evaluate your oral health, discuss your needs, and explain your denture options. This includes assessing your gums, jawbone, and any remaining teeth.
- Impressions and Measurements: Precise impressions and measurements of your mouth are taken to ensure your dentures fit perfectly and look natural.
- Try-In Appointment: A wax model or temporary version of your dentures may be made for you to try. This allows adjustments to the fit, bite, and appearance before the final dentures are created.
- Final Denture Fabrication: Your custom dentures are crafted in a dental lab based on the approved model, designed to match your natural teeth and facial structure.
- Fitting and Adjustments: When your dentures are ready, your dentist will fit them and make any necessary adjustments for comfort and function.
- Follow-Up Care: Follow-up visits help address any sore spots or fit issues, ensuring your dentures remain comfortable and effective.

With numerous dental clinics available—almost as many as there are Tim Hortons—we chose Burloak Centre based on their excellent Google reviews. Although we live nearly 45 minutes away, we decided to give them a try.
We’ve now been patients for almost a year and couldn’t be more pleased with the level of care we’ve received. Most recently, my husband experienced a dental emergency, and the team went above and beyond to accommodate him just before a long weekend. We’re incredibly grateful for their responsiveness and professionalism—he’s now heading to Vegas with confidence and peace of mind!

I can’t say enough amazing things about Dr. Tuli and her hygienist, Anna! From the moment I walked into the office, I felt completely at ease. Their professionalism, care, and attention to detail are unmatched.
Anna is incredibly gentle yet thorough, and she made the entire cleaning process feel like a spa treatment. Dr. Tuli is truly a master of her craft—her expertise and dedication to dental excellence gave me results I didn’t think were possible. My teeth have never looked or felt better, and I know they’re set up for long-term health thanks to her guidance.

Brought the whole family (mom, dad, 3 kids) for the first time using an insurance plan. Found out we didn’t have full coverage and out of pocket would have been too expensive for us to cover. The dentist was more then willing to give a discount so we could still be seen.
She was incredibly helpful and wonderful with all my kids but especially my youngest who has had a terrible experience with a past dentist and was very nervous. I highly recommend this place!

Yes! Modern dentures are designed to restore your natural smile and facial structure, improving both appearance and comfort. They help support your lips and cheeks, preventing the sunken look that can occur with missing teeth.
Adjustment times vary, but most people adapt to dentures within a few weeks. During this period, you may experience some soreness or difficulty speaking and eating, which typically improves with practice and follow-up care.
Clean your dentures daily using a soft denture brush and non-abrasive denture cleaner. Avoid regular toothpaste, which can be too harsh. Rinse them thoroughly after meals to remove food particles and prevent staining.

It is best to use a soft denture brush or a toothbrush with soft bristles specifically designed for dentures, along with denture cleanser, to avoid damaging the surface.
Dentists generally recommend removing dentures at night to give your gums a chance to rest and reduce the risk of infections or irritation. It is best if you always follow your dentist’s specific advice. But if you are unsure and have any questions, feel free to contact us.
With proper care, dentures can last between 5 to 10 years. Over time, changes in your mouth may require adjustments or replacement for a comfortable fit.
No, well-fitting dentures actually support facial muscles and help maintain a youthful appearance by preventing sagging cheeks and lips.
The cost of dentures varies based on type, materials, and customization. Burloak Centre Dentistry offers personalized treatment plans and can help you understand financing and insurance options.
Some people use denture adhesives for extra stability, especially with lower dentures. Your dentist will advise you on whether adhesives are necessary based on your fit and comfort.
